-
Which Precision Planting product(s) will give me the best ROI?The short answer, there isn't one. Each and every farm is run differently with different intentions, thus creating an array of needs depending on each operation's needs. While we offer a large variety of products not everything works for everyone. Contact us today and we would be happy to consult which, if any Precision Planting products are best for you.
-
I need parts now, can they be shipped direct?Unfortunately, Flat Rock Precision does not currently have direct shipping. However, we do deliver personally, and in-shop pickup is also an option. To counteract any issues that may arise from this we offer overnight shipping at an additional charge.
-
What makes Flat Rock Precision different? We like to say "Anyone can sell precision ag equipment, but not everyone can diagnose and service it." At Flat Rock Precision we truly care about our growers. Coming from a family of growers combined with 15 years of Precision Planting experience we have the ability to recommend which products your implement needs, but we also uphold ourselves to a high standard of quality and customer service, ensuring that your experience with us is just as beneficial as was positive.
-
What does a rebuild or install entail?A rebuild is the complete or partial tear down and re-installation of a specific or entire part of the implement. This can entail anything from a single piece, such as Reveal to a complete planter rebuild. Flat Rock Precision has the tools and knowledge necessary to strip an implement down the bare bar all the way back up to a high-speed planter.
-
Do I have to pay up front? Are there financing options?Yes and no. Prior order confirmation, we do require a partial deposit be made. The amount of the deposit is subject to total cost of parts and labor. Final payment is due once the expected work is completed. Financing options are available. Subject to availability, order size, and other factors. Contact Jim to learn more specifically.
-
How long does a rebuild take?It is subjective to the amount of work requested. We ballpark that a complete rebuild on a 16 row on average takes 10-14 full workdays given that parts arrive accordingly, and weather cooperates. *Note* - A dirty planter slows us down. If you have the ability to, we greatly appreciate working on a washed planter. It just makes everyone's lives a bit easier, and could even save you some labor costs.

My farm operation has a shop, can it be rebuilt there?Without a doubt, this is how we started. Central & Southern Indiana, McCordsville over to Mooresville and down to Scottsburg. If you don't have a covered barn or the space for us to work, we offer the option to have them rebuilt at our own shop. If you are interested contact Jim or Grant for further information.
